September the 6th through the 8th. I think it
is our 5th or 6th stay at the Beachside Inn or maybe the
7th who knows. We have stayed at other places in the Destin area all
which have their own little things to like, but there is really no comparison to
the Beachside. The Beachside Inn is not a luxury high rise with a lazy river
that stands 40 floors tall. It is though a 2 story place I would say hotel but I
don’t think that would be the right choice of words…it’s simple..I mean
beds,TV,bath, small fridge, microwave.. you know the normal stuff you need. It
is also pet friendly but if you went there you would never know it. I think pet
friendly places get bad reviews at times by those who don’t have pets and think
that the place may stink or have fleas or whatever…I used to be one of those
people, but now since we own a dog we have the best of both worlds at the
Beachside. A nice very clean place to stay and a place that excepts our entire
family. The Staff in the office, Peggy and Kellie are some of the nicest folks
you will ever meet, the staff at Camille’s Cafe Jennifer, Sandy, and Joey are
all awesome. Heck I think most of the time we just go back there to visit all of
the staff cause they are friends and it is good to see them. Beachside is
directly across the street from Crystal Beach with beach access also. No matter
what anyone tells you Crystal Beach is one of the nicest areas in Destin. The
Beachside Inn is about 1 mile from the Destin Commons located on Hwy 98 if you
need to do any shopping. Sidewalks everywhere ..so you can jog, bike ride, walk
the dog anywhere you want. I am going on and on I know so I will get to the
point..If you and your family (pet or not) is looking for a very nice and clean
place where the staff knows your name after the 1st meeting, a
beautiful beach across the street and a Café’ that has live music on Friday and
Saturday evenings than we highly recommend the Beachside Inn. At least give it
one try and see what you think..it may not be for everyone but I bet you will
enjoy your stay.
