Newman-Dailey Donates to the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)
Many members of the Newman-Dailey team are also proud pet owners. Due to the caring spirit of our staff at Beachside Inn and the entire Newman-Dailey team, our quarterly community service project was a fundraiser for Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). The fundraiser, which kicked off on Valentine's Day and aptly named, "Spread the Love," aimed at raising funds and donations to support PAWS mission.
"We deeply appreciate the dedicated efforts of PAWS in caring for our community's neglected, abandoned, and surrendered animals," said Micki Gramm, Newman-Dailey Team Member, project coordinator, and a PAWS pet-adoption family. "This remarkable organization provides shelter, medical care, and enrichment, all aimed at giving these animals the chance for a brighter future and their very own 'forever home.'"
The team rounded-up an impressive array of food, funds, and equipment. The team’s contributions included an SUV loaded with linens, 24 cans and 6 large bags of dog food, 36 cans and 4 large bags of cat food, 72 cans of kitten food, 12 collars, harnesses, and leashes, as well as multiple cat scratchers, bags of pill pockets, pet-safe peanut butter jars, and toys. Additionally, the team provided a six-month supply of Tri Heart Plus for large dogs and gathered cash donations to support the cause.
As a bonus, the team plans to continue its support of PAWS by providing bedding, linens and towels from the Newman-Dailey laundry department to be used for pet bedding, baths and medical attention.

About The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society
The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals and reducing the overpopulation of pets in the community. Their mission focuses on providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services for abandoned and mistreated animals, alongside education programs that advocate responsible pet ownership. Through community engagement, PAWS works to foster a compassionate society for all animals, striving to find loving homes for every pet in their care and to encourage a culture of compassion and responsibility towards animals in the Florida Panhandle region.
PAWS offers a diverse array of programs designed to support both the community and the animals within its care. Among these initiatives are a well-stocked food pantry to assist pet owners in need, a dedicated lost and found service to help reunite pets with their families, a thrift shop, and educational programs delivered through school presentations and shelter tours. There are countless ways for individuals to get involved and contribute to this remarkable organization. Volunteers have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by sponsoring treatments for pets, opening their homes to foster animals in need, or participating in a delightful "doggy date." This unique initiative allows volunteers to take a shelter dog on an outing to various locations listed on the organization's website, providing these animals with a much-needed break and a chance to experience new environments while they await their forever homes. Join PAWS in making a difference today—every effort counts.
